Nearby Pismo Beach features many special events throughout the year including, a Custom Car Show, 4th of July Fireworks, Western Days, Clam Festival and Marching Band Review. In addition, the city is home to two dixieland jazz festivals. Pismo Beach is also the home of the migrating Monarch Butterflies who come each year from the end of October through February.
